Top 5 things all new moms should know

 1. You won't sleep as much as you think once the baby gets here. The baby will probably get more sleep than you, haha. Sleep when you can and try to catch some Z's instead of focusing on housework or other activities going on. 

2. People will tell you how and when to do certain things for your new bundle of joy. Don't worry about their comments. Unless you ask them for it. Be the best parent you can be by being present and taking care of your child. 

3. Expect to cook something, I know, not what you needed to hear. But unless you have a bunch of church ladies or lovely neighbors to bring you food then don't expect to put your feet up. Because you will get hungry and want a warm meal. 

4. The anxiety of being a new mom is normal and the baby blues are normal. However, if you seem to go south hopefully someone will notice. Also, don't be afraid to call your OB or doctor if you feel off. It's a special time to have a baby but your hormone levels are also more important to keep an eye on!

5. Self-care is important as well. Take that 20 min bath or have someone hold the baby so you can do whatever. Take care of yourself!
